Former NBA Star Watches Daughter Play As Maryland Edges Past Louisville To The Final Four

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Former NBA dunk champion Dee Brown finally got a chance to see his daughter Lexie play.

The Sacramento Kings assistant coach caught the Maryland freshman’s game against Louisville on Tuesday night. She put on quite the show for her dad, scoring 20 points, including hitting nine of 10 free throws in the Terrapins 76-73 victory that got them to the Final Four. She earned All-Regional honors.

“She’s achieved so many things that I never achieved as a high school player or as a college player,” Brown said. “She’s really out of my shadow. It’s just been great.”
